Yeah, I'm taking a pass on that.
They want to like tie in with people's love of scary games that are in first person along with how popular that one Silent Hill Demo was.

Yeah but I guess it has monsters, puzzle solving that hardcore RE fans love supposedly and basically just the UI of a RE game without the zombies haha.
I bet there might be some kind of virus around but they are creating monsters not zombies.

Eh, people said the same shit about RE4. New camera perspective, new location, no zombies, a story that doesn't involve anyone from S.T.A.R.S. (save for a very brief cameo from Wesker, which RE7 will probably have since the Wesker that got fucked in RE5 was probably just a clone). People said it was just a cheap capitalization on the popular style of Gears of War-esque third-person shooters, and that it would ruin the franchise with so many changes, but it ended up saving it. Maybe RE7 will do the same. We'll see. But it seems kind of foolish to write it off simply by virtue of it being different.

It might be a great game. I've seen the demo and it definitely doesn't look bad, but everything about it looks like you could have given it another name. And the 3rd person RE's are awesome. 5 and 6 are hella underrated.

Why are you praising 6?
So many people hated 6 when it came out. They couldn't see how much 6 was a love letter to the entire series.

Why am I praising 6? Cause it was fun. I love me a good 3rd person shooter and 6 is a pretty great one that at least has a fun creepy vibe, even if it's not actually scary.
