I love Captain America, and would actually take him as a character over Iron Man (movie), but Robert Downie Jr. is absolutely delightful, and James Spader as Ultron was brilliant, one of the best MCU villains of all time.

I actually just wish I hadda time machine, besides my casio piece, so I could fast forward in time to The Infinity Gauntlet timeline.

Yeah, I know a lotta people are fans of those two...but I'm an oddball. I still remember RDJ as a crackhead and the spader voice didn't seem very robotic to me even tho it's a sentient being, I still expected more of an enigmatic type of accent to suit the foreign origin of said character.

That's what was great about Spader. He didn't sound like some generic robot. He sounded like a person. A creepy-as-**** robot-person. And if you don't love RDJ, then you are a bad man/chick.

I'll have to give that a go.
When watching the original you are kinda put into Leonard's shoes which is definitely disorienting, especially the first viewing.

Watching the other version lets you experience it more from the outside looking in.

But that's my point, Ultron was a sentient being from one of the infinity stones...NOT a regular person. I don't think spader's voice exemplified the notion of a transcendent being. But at the end of the day, I couldn't care less...it was just a small detractor from the film for me. I would have preferred to have seen the super heroes battling more extraordinary or fantastic foe (cue Avengers chitari) than just action against other humans. I think my favorite part of the film was when The Hulk went up against the Hulkbuster suit. That was actually innovative and tons of fun to watch. I like the Olsen girl--she has good presence and on-screen charisma.

Since you have the Deadpool avatar...whaddyu think about the Ryan Reynolds casting??

And I save my man crush pass for Gerard Butler instead!!!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I think the dichotomy between the robot and the creepy human portrayal of Spader was deliciously... well, creepy. Any scene with him was gold. And as for the Chitari, any scene with them that wasn't from The Ultimates was generic action movie boringness. The first movie was fun and all, but it was a poor man's Ultimates.

And Michael Fassbender > Gerard Butler

"Leviathan" (2014) film has some amazing scenes. There is one in particular, where the main protagonist is absolutely ****faced drunk and verbally attacking a priest outside a convenience store. The priest warns him to not keep putting dirt or something on his head because he can see the leviathan is growing stronger.

The entire film is about accepting unfortunate circumstances as part of life or else focusing on it will only make things worse--make the leviathan stronger.

It's one of the best films that showcases the cumulative effect of arrogance, indulging in misery, alcoholism and the beast this creates. It's hard to explain.

Pay It Forward

So Kevin Spacey is apparently my favorite actor because he's coincidentally been in every movie I posted a scene from.
