Default the howard stern show

hey now

my favorite show of all time, not even close, 2nd place is infinite miles down the road. not sure if there are any other stern fans here but i figured id make a thread to talk about the show and its members and generally anything havin to do with stern

im a huge artie lange fan as well and just finished his book, 'too fat to fish'

some basic opinions i have

-stern show kinda sucks now
-golden era was truly amazing (era with artie and richard/sal)
-stern is the best interviewer ever, not even close, again 2nd place is infinite miles away

and im a guy who was too young to appreciate stern when he went through the fcc/censorship battle/k-rock/etc

since its a music forum, heres a great interview, one of my favorites since i love the smashing pumpkins and stern rules

I used to like Stern in the late 90s but I just can't be bothered with him or his show anymore and I haven't heard it since he switched over to satellite radio.

I loved that movie Private Parts though.

bro you missed the golden years (early 2000s). i would just look up his videos online from howardtv. i first remember watchin the show on the e-channel cause it was like softcore porn at the time lol. the show got much better once on sirius without censorship

private parts is awesome too

like everyone else in the world, i find robin annoying but i guess she does what she is supposed to do. i feel like everyone is annoyed by her

also shout out for ronnie mund aka ronnie the limo driver. another hilarious in-studio character. i think stern is retiring after his deal is through. hes already started doin some other stuff and theres been some rumors albeit probably not real reliable, that he might be doin a late night show for nbc or somethin. frankly thatd never work, stern is too good of an interviewer for a show like that

artie is one of my fave comedians ever and he was just SOOO good on this show, a perfect fit. here he is telling it like it is

background: sal and richard are former fans and frequent callers to the show who won a contest to be on the show years ago. they have been workin there for years at this point the day before artie got into a huge fight with sal on-air and sal really took shots at arties failed movies (beer league and dirty work). him and richard went on the wrap-up show (the show after the stern show) and kinda trashed artie. so here he is tellin them whats up

I liked his 'E!' show from 1993, 'The Howard Stern Interview'. Episodes that come to mind are "interviews" with Richard Lewis, Dick Cavett, and Paul and Gene from Kiss. Absolutely hillarious! Unfortunately, it didn't last very long. Eventually he started filming his radio show and it was renamed 'The Howard Stern Show' and that's when it became lame I think. Frankly, I've always thought of his "crew" as more annoying than funny. That's probably why I liked his '93 show better. Frankly, he didn't need them in my opinion ( ).

I'm bumping this cause I've gotten satellite radio, and I'm listening to Howard Stern and I have a man crush on him. Watch this ****.

I keep forgetting that I have satellite radio. I got a free trial recently that's going to end soon so I might as well start using it more before then. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to end up paying for it though.

I've been a long time fan of Howard Stern and loved that Private Parts movie he came out with but I haven't really kept up with him recently.

It's still the same show. Except he puts a lot more into interviews now rather then the wacky pack.
