There really are some great non-traditional superhero superhero comics out these days. I don't know if this is just always how it is and these series just never quite get noticed outside the fandoms, but there are more than a few gems to find (still need to check out the new Wonder Woman, which I hear is pretty different). If you dig that kind of funny then I'd also recommend Harley Quinn's new series. I was dubious after hearing that DC had never quite nailed her in comic book form (I love Suicide Squad, but it's not really her best portrayal), but that series really took her into the darker New 52 universe in a big way, while making her adorable again. Can't recommend it enough. Actually made a journal entry about it a little while ago.

Oh, and I checked out the first issue of Deadly Class last night. Lookin' good. Love the artwork, characters feel natural, unique vibe. Good call. You're my new favorite in case you didn't know. LeHetfield James can kiss my ass.

Alright, so unless there are any objections within the next day, we're going to continue with 100 Bullets starting tomorrow, and try to finish the entire first story arc, which I'm pretty sure is the next five issues, by the end of the week, which would be next Tuesday. If people feel they can't swing that, then speak now or forever hold your peace.

And anyone who feels like joining in with me and bob. on Deadly Assassins and/or Fatale should feel free.

also just want to throw out Sweet Tooth as a possible future read

it's one of my favorite series and is fairly short 40 issues (6 books)....and i think would really appeal to everyone in this group

and i really need an excuse to re-read it
