I guess cause all I was seeing in terms of criticism was coverage on how offended people were

And seeing that he does strike me as a leftist PC type I connected dots. Elph chiming in only added fuel to that fire.

And since I fundamentally don't trust people to be honest, I just assumed they weren't.
