The number of young new fans Disney is making in droves will greatly outweigh the dorks who foam at the mouth raging about how their expectations weren't meant and stubbornly ignore the rest of the movies

...thanks for proving my point? That movie spawned an enormous amount of young new fans and episode 3 ended up grossing $848.8 million at the box office and broke several records. No one gives a **** that you and a few thousand other nerds didn't like the movie

And it also marked the point where Star Wars went from awesome to ****.

Successful franchises are incapable of becoming bad to the point of self parody in a way that alienates audiences. It just never happens.
