Other countries awards shows are the same. It's no big deal.

Proof that you don't need expensive equipment to make great music.

Very surprised that Spotlight won Best Picture, most people thought The Revenant had it in the bag. Not sure where I sit on this one. I loved Spotlight and I thought The Revenant was a major achievement in terms of getting the most of the actors and the environment, but Spotlight was an extremely tight, cohesive, well shot, and well acted movie too, certainly more streamlined and refined than The Revenant, which seemed to bore a lot of my friends, but those same friends were also bored by Spotlight so I don't know.

Casey Affleck, too. That performance was downright incredible.

Pretty sure that it's simply "either".

But I feel that this would imply I'm talking about a specific performance.

Nope. Were you expecting English to make sense?

Nope, but I was expecting to be better at understanding its nuances.
I'm currently in France though, so I'm just going to assume their collective terrible English skills are mysteriously diminishing mine as well.

I only saw 3 movies last year, "Fury Road", like the entire Mad Max series IMO, was entertaining but has many gaping holes in the plotline, "Ex Machina" was pretty good (Alicia Vikander, dang...), the best movie I saw last year was the heartbreaking "Amy"

I have no idea how they did on Oscar night
