Even if I end up being right, you are too.

You just hate anything good don't you.

Star Wars is more overrated than Ron Jeremy's ballsack. I only keep up on them because the movies are cultural monoliths that I should be aware of if I'm going to be socializing with people my age.

Zhanteimi 11-29-2016 02:57 PM

^Gotta agree with Frown on this one.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 11-29-2016 02:58 PM

I have to agree with mordwyr agreeing with Frown. It feels less icky if you don't agree directly with him.

You do realize you're allowed to like things other people like, right? I know you try to pull off this "im by myself" pretentious attitude, but you don't have to stay away from things because other people enjoy it.

I'm just curious about what that has to do with my opinions on Star Wars. Could you rephrase that sentence in English and in a more clear context?

You act as though you don't actually enjoy the movies, you just watch them to keep up with people that do. Insinuating your pretentious behavior toward the movies.

The movies are okay, they're just overrated as ****. They're also crazy relevant and come up in conversations all the goddamned time. Do you think I don't like them because it's popular? Or are you just being a whiny brat because I insulted your precious Star Wars?

I'd have a damn hard time finding something you do like that is popular.

Nah, that's all on your perception of me, not reality. It's important to point out that pointing out something's flaws does not mean that I think it isn't worth a damn.

Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
The Shining
The Babadook
Jimi Hendrix
Shawshank Redemption
Hamlet
Pink Floyd
Vincent Van Gogh
Harry Potter series
Faith No More

You like Harry Potter?

I like the books and the third movie on when they got all atmospheric.

Honestly though I'm not that interested in Fantastic Beasts. Seems like a cash grab on Rowling's part.

The Babadook? Otherwise, fair enough.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 11-29-2016 03:21 PM

I've never read the books but I always found the movies to be really... bleh.

If you don't know it, watch it for sure, one of my all time favourite horror movies. If you're questioning the popularity, I'm basing it off of a lot of people sharing my opinion.

Key 11-29-2016 03:22 PM

The only Harry Potter movie I actually genuinely enjoy is Order of the Phoenix, otherwise I think they're pretty much trash. I've read all the books though.

I'll look into it. Simply saying "horror" piqued my interest.

I thought you didn't really like it that much? Maybe I'm thinking of It Follows.

Key 11-29-2016 03:25 PM

I heard It Follows was decent. Never saw it myself though.

Bingo. It probably stemmed from the fact that people were saying that it was even better than The Babadook, which is absurd.

I still need to finish that. Got about a third of the way through and just stopped for no good reason.

I'm sure I am. I just have the attention span of a gnat. I have so many games on Steam, some I love, and yet I have finished none of them or even come close.

Check it out. They pay homage to John Carpenter in it. Soundtrack fits the moody atmosphere so well.
