Video games that would make excellent TV shows

I don't know about you but I have a feeling that Grand Theft Auto would make an excellent TV show. The first season would follow the storyline of Grand Theft Auto 1. The second season would follow Grand Theft Auto 2's story. Do you see the pattern? Everything would be in chronological order. There would be human actors rather than computer-animated characters.

I had to google Burn Notice. Since 2010, I haven't had a satellite dish and I haven't used cable.

nobody watches burn notice.

Basically a secret agent gets betrayed and dumped by his superiors in Miami with no money, no security clearance, no contacts, no nothing. So he has to slowly build up an operation to figure out what's going on.

Except for the main character being a secret agent instead of a gangster it's surprisingly similar to the plots of most GTA games.

Burn Notice was awesome for the first few seasons. Then they added in that fourth guy and the chemistry between the three main characters was ruined.

This. I really liked the first 2 seasons.
As for the topic:

(in case you recognize the world, that's Dandelion, Geralt and Yennefer..)
But this time preferably with a plot, with acting, with a budget, with decent special effects, with the atmosphere and witty dialogue.. you know, all the things that made the Witcher games/books stand out, that were sadly absent in this poor excuse for a tv show that came out years ago. No, it's not even "so bad it's good". it's simply embarrassing.

GoT has shown everybody a well designed, very dark fantasy world can work, can be a success in more ways than one and can bring the studios a ton of money. Since there are only what, 2 seasons left ? I really hope the people behind it are looking in the direction of the Witcher.

Star Wars, superhero movies, and sword and sorcery TV shows all ruling pop culture. Nerd fashion might be bull****, but people are finally realizing that the things we like are infinitely superior to the things they like.
