I've still not seen it. Is it worth watching?

It's entertaining.

I mean, it's not a snoozefest or a waste of time. It just isn't the film it was made out to be by the public. Maybe it's smart and complex by Hollywood blockbuster standards, but I found it to be a let down. If you have the time and you're interested in it, I'd say go for it, otherwise don't try and make time.

If I like The Butterfly Effect, would I like this one more or less? All I've heard of the movie is that it can be a mind ****, but I've seen Memento, and that movie was the most mind **** I've ever seen.

I would equate it's reputation to that of The Butterfly Effect, so I feel you will definitely enjoy it. BUT this movie couldn't sniff Memento's ******* if it tried.

I'll check it out then, if nothing more than to write about it for work. Gracias amigo.

Let me know what you think of it.

It's a marvel to look at if you like special effects. Great score. Good acting from Leo. Definitely not a great film but like Frown said, it's entertaining. That upside down hallway fight with JGL is worth the run time itself. Cillian Murphy was also really good in it.

It is a pretty good original summer blockbuster in a time when people are constantly complaining about all the sequels and remakes.

84th Academy Awards
The Artist
The Descendants
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
The Help
Hugo
Midnight in Paris
Moneyball
The Tree of Life
War Horse

I swore they were going to give it to The Help this year but I was a bit shocked it went to The Artist.

Mostly because I didn't really hear much about The Artist until it won. I feel like to this day I still haven't watched it. I will one day though. The Tree of Life is another overlooked movie from my perspective that I wanted to see but just didn't get around to it and it fell off my radar.

Movies that came out in 2011

The bolded listed below are probably my faves and edge out the others slightly.

The Green Hornet
Hobo With A Shotgun
The Devil's Double
The Rite
The Mechanic

The Roommate
The Adjustment Bureau
Paul
Unknown
Hall Pass
Take Me Home Tonight
Battle:Los Angeles
Limitless
The Lincoln Lawyer

Sucker Punch
Hanna

Your Highness

(Guilty Pleasure)
The Change UP
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
The Help
30 Minutes or Less
Contagion
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Real Steel
The Raid: Redemption
You're Next
(This horror flick surprised me and it was way better than I was giving it credit for going into it blindly)
Dream House
The Thing(Doesn't hold a candle to John Carpenter's version but I still enjoyed it for what it was)
Tower Heist
In Time
The Intouchables
Haywire
Young Adult
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Darkest Hour
