Well let's just keep it to a couple days discussion and then moving on. I just don't feel we need to keep a tally or score as if a winner is going to interest any of us. I could be wrong here but frankly my dear I just don't give a damn...about scores.

Let it ride. Anarchy is good! Plus I prefer it to be fluid discussion. It doesn't need scoring imo either.

so i own both....and i think i've watched No Country For Old Men once...maybe twice....but I've watched There Will Be Blood several times

both were amazing and by far the highlight of that year....and even better came out right around the same time so there was a block of just great theater action....but There Will Be Blood....in my opinion is just a better film....PT Anderson will almost always win.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly was a beautiful film that came out in 2007, I feel like that should have been nominated.

Also Into the Wild and American Gangster were great movies that year. I just recently picked up a copy of American Gangster to re-watch.

I haven't watched There Will Be Blood in years but No Country gets regular replay value from me.

Planet Terror and Death Proof came out this year also. I loved being able to watch them back to back with an intermission like in the old days. It was a wonderful theater experience. I'm not old enough to have gone to the theater when they would regularly have intermissions but I guess intermissions are still a think for plays.

I'm going through this list on wikipedia and I feel like so many good films came out in 2007. Not like Oscar Worthy but good like guilty pleasure films that I have watched numerous times. Perfect Stranger is one of them with Halle Berry, I think I love my wife with Chris Rock. I can't tell you how many times I've watched that silly rom com.

seeing The Grind House films in the theater was a treat...especially with all the great trailers....i also got to go to a special screening of King of Kong that year and meet the King himself in a post screening reception....Ratatouille is still my favorite Pixar film

yeah Ratatouille and probably The Incredibles....i loved Up as well...really all Pixar films are if anything fun

I don't think it's true at all. But I think it makes the movies just that much more enjoyable to watch.
