Default Dan Simmons: Hyperion

Everyone on this forum has read both Hyperion, and The Fall of Hyperion, right?

1,000 pages of the best **** I've ever read. And re-read. Beyond ridiculous stuff that is so original, unique, so damn ambitious, and 100% fully realized.

Almost 30 years later and they both still blow my mind.

Oh, and this dude.....

I read both a few months ago and loved them. Well, I actually listened to them. I have a long commute so I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Anyway, I have books 3 and 4 too but I haven't listened to them yet.

Ah yes, the Shrike. Wonderful books. I love the idea of people dying and being resurrected as a way to get around deep space travel. Superb author. Have you read this? Chilling stuff, with the scariest, most depressing ending you can imagine.
