Solar is becoming way too cheap for us to deplete all of our oil... I hope. Maybe society collapses and it happens.

I wish they hadn't. We need to move toward cheap energy that doesn't harm the planet.

We need to do a study to see if the presence of natural oil / gas in an area makes that area less prone to earthquakes or natural disasters of that type [ones over which mankind has little control].

It's clear that fracking / extraction is a clear cause of earthquakes.

Maybe the earth needs the oil, like we need blood?
