The very recently deceased cinematographer, Michael Chapman, in an extended 94 part playlist of an interview he did in 2004. Intriguing stuff if you like classic American cinema.

Saw The Butterfly Effect was on Netflix, checked IMDB saw it got 7.6 so thought I’d give it a go. Jesus it was crap. The only redeeming thing about it was the laughs we got out of the dramatic plot twists. I don’t think they meant it to be a comedy but wow. Soooo bad.

Yeah I enjoyed the movie. I was excited when I heard the movie was coming out and read the book first. The movie wasn’t what I visualised when I was reading but to be honest I found the book a little dull. Kind of like being in a long, boring conversation with someone and having no interest in where they are trying to take it.

That's a good description of the impression I got from watching the Netflix trailer tbh. Still, I'm prepared to commit to watching the movie on the strength of OH's recommendation.
(No need to FedEx me the book just yet, ok?)

Watched it again.

For me it’s a top five film of all time
