There can be only one.

The Batlord 02-16-2018 06:03 AM

**** you, Jerkules.

Akai 02-16-2018 06:03 AM

Toy Story.

The Batlord 02-16-2018 06:15 AM

Pixar movies aren't counted as Renaissance movies.

The Straight Story

Can we all agree that Tarzan is the worst (even though it was apparently a huge commercial and critical success)?

Did you finish Once Upon A Time yet?

Janszoon 02-16-2018 07:58 AM

You forgot The Emperor's New Groove.

Also, I can't believe you voted for Hercules.

Yes we can. Whoever thought that I wanted to sit through an hour and a half of Rosie O'Donnell can lick my sack.

That was actually past the Renaissance.

Wasn't that an age, not an era?

I went to the wiki hoping to backtrack and find the other eras of Disney. I failed How the hell do you even navigate to that page without using google? There is no category for it.

Then he should take Tarzan off the list because it was even later.

It's a fact that you forgot The Emperor's New Groove and also a fact that Hercules was just a cheap knockoff of Aladdin.

Frownland 02-16-2018 09:50 PM

Uh pretty sure that the ODYSSEY was written before 9/11 when the Middle East was invented.

Janszoon 02-16-2018 09:53 PM

The original story of Aladdin is set in China.

Frownland 02-16-2018 09:55 PM

That's just what the communists want you to believe.

1. Not a Renaissance film.
2. It's actually an expensive knock off of The Femalien.

It seems that you've forgotten how facts work. Here's a refresher: As a user, you're just a slightly more boring version of Exo.

Bruh, that's Dreamworks.

Frownland 02-17-2018 06:36 AM

The Dreamworks era is my favourite Disney era then.

So why is Tarzan on the list? I think we've all gotten a little broad with the scope of the renaissance.

Because it's part of the Disney Renaissance. Wiki never lies.

Go home, Snowman. You're drunk.

Oriphiel 02-17-2018 08:18 AM

Lol @ Pocahontas having 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, while Tarzan has 88%.

Because it's a specific list. Don't ask me how it was finalized though. I think the cutoff is really when the movies stopped being as profitable.

The Little Mermaid (1989), The Rescuers Down Under (1990), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Lion King (1994), Pocahontas (1995), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), Hercules (1997), Mulan (1998) and Tarzan (1999)

I'm sorry but the real cutoff is The Lion King.

Really yeah, but the inertia of those movies allowed for the second half of the Renaissance to still be highly successful. Otherwise it wouldn't have lasted nearly as long. When people talk about the Disney Renaissance they're generally talking about The Little Mermaid to The Lion King. Nobody's talking about Hercules.

Oriphiel 02-19-2018 04:32 PM

Why do you love derivative yet fun stuff like ICP and Kesha, and then act like such a basic bitch about Hercules?

One day, you will come to see things my way. Till then, keep jerking off to Gaston, or whatever.

GunmouthGrace 02-19-2018 04:36 PM

.

Oriphiel 02-19-2018 04:48 PM

I have good memories of Mulan. I thought the bad guys were cool, and was kinda sad when the main bad guy gets fireworked to oblivion.
