Yeah my ability to multitask falls apart pretty quick so all those Day9 lessons about "Pylons and Probes" go out the window about five minutes in. I think I'd need to actually drill myself with a set schedule like SC was my second job to be able to overcome my innate scatterbrained nature. And don't think I've never been tempted to do that.

Day9's been doing a series on learning to play SC1 btw ever since the remaster came out and my god is he my favorite teacher including real teachers. So if you ever feel like dusting off the ol' Terran Marine boots...

Whenever I tried SC I felt like I'd rather be playing WC because they are similar but I like the units, maps, custom games, and aesthetics better in WC so why would I ever play SC? All the little things add up even though the games are for the most part the same.

as for Artosis... Idk, I view him as a real life incarnation of the stereotypical cringey nerd. There are ways to talk about games without sounding so obnoxious, I typically do not fit in with the people I share a hobby with. I like my analysis and game talk to be intellectual and serious, not full of twitch chat memes. I'm really not fun to play games with.. I'm all about the seriousness. Even when I'm one tricking with Mei and having fun, I'm not goofing off, I just happen to enjoy a non-meta champ.

Autistic. But seriously why do you like Day9 so much? He's a great analysist but he's as goofy and nerdy as they come.

I can understand that dwv as Warcraft was the one I played first but I still think Starcraft just takes Warcraft and makes it better enough.

I like him as a streamer, I don't know him for his other content like you do. Hes genuinely funny and not memey at all. Unlike Artosis who tries to be funny by making terribly corny jokes. Day9 doesnt even try, hes just being himself and hes fucking hilarious most of the time.

Some people are just unlikable to others. Artosis falls into that category for me, and Idk the other guy you mentioned. Idk if you watch any Hearthstone but this will help give you a better idea:

Kibler, Firebat, Zalae = goooood
Frodan, TJ, Admirable = baaaaad

As analysts and casters.

First experience means a lot. Red Alert 2 is still my fav RTS for reasons other than it actually being better than other RTS's. It was my introduction to the genre which I didn't even know existed beforehand, the units were fun and ridiculous, and I put so many hours into it that it's a solid competitor for my most played game of all-time. But I would never say it was actually a better game than StarCraft/Brood War.

I just love debating Warcraft and Starcraft because it's like choosing the better of two great games. Can't be surprised tho. It was Blizzard who did them after all. I don't think I can think of a single Blizzard game that I hated.

You should check out his StarCraft videos. I'd barely heard of StarCraft before I discovered his random Amnesia playthrough and just jumped into his videos without understanding what the **** he was even talking about. He's vastly interesting and fun with how he can describe strategy and tactics in very minute detail while also never falling out of his entertaining personality. It helps that he clearly cares about nothing as much as he does StarCraft. And his Funday Monday videos are a "hoot".

I dont have a problem calling a game better than another game. This is a subjective discussion unless you plan to talk about some specific comparison that can be analyzed objectively. Youre just lying to yourself about which game you think is better.

My only comparison that I mentioned earlier is that Starcraft just feels more involved. There's more management that has to take place to ensure victory. As much as I love Warcraft, it's very easy to just build a ton barracks and constantly throw units at your enemies. That's just me tho. I'm not claiming that as fact.

Secondly your base in SC feels way more structured than WC
