No, this is the kind of **** that needs to be called out. Toxic macho ****s like Merit are precisely the reason that nasty weirdos like Weinstein and Spacey etc etc etc have been able to get away with this **** for so long. Merit and so many others are literally incapable of thinking about things in any way outside of their safe white male bubble and its unfathomable to them that a young, defenseless woman would be too scared to defy the desires of a man in a position of power above them.
