Yeah, ignoring is the best option with jwb.

Anyway, we agree on Invisible cities as the first choice, I guess we just have to agree on the timeline? I should be able to finish my current book by this weekend, and it seems like a relatively short book so maybe in 3 weeks? I think that's how these things work...

How bout a poll? Just put all the titles mentioned on it and let's do a vote.

Jwb's just warming up for his airline food jokes.

I'm adding a poll to the thread with everyone's options toward the end of the week. No required timeline for reading, take it at your own rate. Just know that if you take too long you might miss the organic discussion window.

Great, my timeline will be similar. I'll be finished with my current book in a day or two and a copy of Invisible Cities is currently making its way to me through the maze that is the UK's Royal Mail, but hopefully I can start reading this weekend.

My copy of Invisible Cities has arrived early! I'm 2 chapters in and enjoying it massively, I look forward to discussing it

Since Marie's already started and most people seem on board with Invisible Cities, I think it will be better to use a rotation schedule instead of a voting system. We'll start with Invisible Cities, then after a few weeks or month, we'll move on to the next book in the list.

I'll make a new thread for discussion and add the rotation list to the OP. If you'd like to change or remove your recommendation, let me know.

EDIT: Discussion thread here

That was a good book, learned how to think better. More like a computer, input/output. Went through it and you create small beginner projects in python. Like tic tac toe game, but it gets to creating a bigger more complex projects. If you know how to code already in another language then this goes over ways to automate the boring clicking tasks.

The "Crash Course" for Python is sort of needed to read before you start projects. That starts off with "Hello World", up to creating projects also.
