I did every side mission on ME1 and frankly wanted more, i also liked doing every side mission on AC:Brotherhood to complete the map and own all of the shops but doing so distracted me from the main story and i never finished it.

Try playing through Mass Effect again. If you're like me, and you have to do every single side mission as soon as they become available before doing anything else, the Citadel becomes so ****ing tedious. And halfway through exploring all the worlds you just want the game to be over. First couple times playing through it was like sex, but after that it only goes downhill. Way too much downtime inbetween missions.
