Like most music like this, it's technically very good and it's creative and original...but it fails to move me. So, recognizing it's great and that I can enjoy it on a music appreciation level, I think a lot of Magma will be 4 stars.
Status: KEEP
Everything that I've heard from Magma has grown on me like mad. I bet with a little more familiarity the albums will be closer to five stars across the board.

This kicked so much ass. His monotone voice completed it.
Hell ja, that's among my top ten albums for the year. Didn't like the singer at first but I stayed for the instrumentation and grew to like him. Rogue Fossil is a blast.

I just posted this in Ked's journal, so I'll just repost it here.

If you dig Virus then you should check out Ved Buens Ende. They were a pre-Virus band and from what I remember of Virus they basically took up where VBE left off. At least to an extent.

They went in a somewhat different direction for Memento Collider, but VBE is still worth checking out.

I really need to go back and work my way through Virus' discography again. I remember really digging their first three albums. Then I'll get around to their newest.
