I really couldn't get into Relapse at all. A lot of what I like about Eminem just wasn't there. It was basically an album he made because he was pissed off and it really didn't work.

Recovery makes no sense. Eminem trying to make an uplifting(ish) album with out-of-place features by ****ing Rihanna is pretty much the most self-indulgent, unselfaware thing he's ever done. Even if Relapse is just more of the same that he's always been doing, he's doing it ****ing well and putting old schtick in an actual interesting context with the whole "drugs make me an *******" metaphor.

Injury Reserve - Floss (2016)

Quick Thoughts: Ok yeah, never heard this group and Qwertyy is raving about this album. Rightfully so. I'm only a few tracks in and this is a pretty solid hip hop album. Loving this a lot.

Rating:

2016 so far has been a fantastic year for hip hop and this album is certainly up there.
