I think that's what makes it the first post rock album.

Beginning November 1st 2016, I will be using this journal to present Steven Wilson Month. I try to do a themed month in one or two journals every year, and I feel this year is the year for Steven Wilson. I've been listening to many variants of his music that I feel it's only right to do a month dedicated to him before the year ends.

Lots of stuff to look forward to!

This is kind of funny. I was thinking about giving my journal a nostalgia week.

Do it man, it's a lot of fun. I've done themes through the past few years, and I enjoy it because it gives me an incentive to write more.

I'll do it. I'll start it next week. And do stuff in it related to albums and music from when I was a kid.

Serious question. Are there any Steve Wilson albums that are really out of his box? To the point of not even sounding like his stuff? Some of his compositions are good when Opeth does them but that's all I know by him that's not lame and trite.

I don't really think so. His solo work is a bit more laid back as opposed to his Porcupine Tree work, but if you like his voice, the solo work is far more accessible. I would say that if you like the collab of him and the Opeth vocalist, his solo work is probably more up your alley. However, I more listen to his stuff because I enjoy his voice.

Bummer. Not a fan of his singing. It's too tepid.

Yeah, his work is pretty much you like it or you hate it. But those that like it love it, and those that don't pretty much dismiss it, which is understandable.

Wow. Steve Wilson is actually a more lame version of Porcupine Tree. Didn't know that was possible.
