Growing up, Dubose frequently got into legal trouble, mainly for selling cannabis and narcotics, after finding out when he was sixteen, Dubose's parents sent him to Florida as punishment. He graduated high school from the Performance-based Preparatory Academy in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Right there, that’s hilarious. Boogie is from the Bronx but his music is heavily stamped with Future’s southern trap style. He was 20 when this “mixtape” was released.

Overall this album is melancholy and self reflective and not always self aggrandizing. It’s honest. He celebrates getting laid and laments heartbreak. You can feel that these songs were written before he became famous back when he was still a teenager. His world orbits around a giant vagina and his dreams.

His fanbase discovered him on youtube. This was a digital release. At 50 it’s easy to think condescendingly on young teens. But this is good music. Sincere and although not pioneering it’s part of a pioneering movement. Like it or not, this is the sound that hip hop is still riding on two years later.

Not just recommended but I mean it’s up to you. You can either know or not.

Coastlines by Rudy Adrian

Quote:

On his fifteenth album, Coastlines, ambient music virtuoso Rudy Adrian presents ten tracks of slowly transforming melodies, warm lush synthscapes and dreamlike atmospheres, capturing the wonders of the coastal landscapes that echo through the memories of his youth.
Sounds exactly like it should. No complaints.

No Man's Land
Album by Michael Idehall

https://ant-zen.bandcamp.com/album/no-mans-land

This is a creepy record that reminds me of the swans and the birthday party except recreated in a dark ambient style so maybe meets Lustmord. It’s slowly pulsating beat music with vocals. For the most part, these days I’m not as receptive to avant-garde music with vocals unless the vocals are very good and drive the music like Julianna Barwick. However, Idehall’s vocals work in a way that besides Gyra and Cave also and maybe mostly have a Genesis P-Orridge drive to them.

Now I did some serious name dropping in this review. This isn’t as good as any of the artists I mentioned but if you like those guys and want to check out something new try a couple tracks off this one. It’s pretty cool.
