He can tackle anything. He’s a maverick among 21st C Non-Coltranian avant garde jazz artists and he also fills the roles of John Williams and Aaron Copland. What he tackles here is so big and so triumphant it’s a heartbreaking beautiful gift that only he could give us. He packages our humanity up for us. He says you know what? It’s not just a big worthless joke. You mean something. Your sorrow isn’t nothing. Most high. 10/10

 Security Album by Gaika Pedro Tavares https://mixpak.bandcamp.com/album/security Grime might be an oversimplification of this sound and effort but I’m going to do a little pigeonholing for the frame of reference. This is a soulful complex “mixtape”. Slowed down compared to other grime one might hear echoes of Tricky and The Caretaker. Drug music for sure. Grime and trap need to collaborate. Recommended.
