Are you awesome enough to know what song this is?

I heard this song on a local metal/rock station that only ran from 1990-1991. Another family member and I thought it was so funny, it became an inside joke. The only lyrics we remember are "come a-LONG! dippy doo doo-doo doo-doo-doo." I was leaning more towards it being hair/glam metal, but she remembers it sounding like alternative/grunge, something hard, and then breaking into that line (probably at the chorus). We're both sure it was a guy singing.

I'd love to put an end to this, as I've pretty much exhausted the search engines with every combination of words that even sound like "come along dippy doo." I'm checking Amazon, YouTube, and browsing album releases from 1991 backwards. The closest guesses so far have been Come Along by Salty Dog and Coming Home by Nitro, but it's neither. It's never too late to post an answer. When I finally snag this white whale, I'll edit this thread.

That was... well, interesting. ^^;; Unfortunately, it looks like the date the band came out was 2003? And that song was 2010? Thanks anyway!
