Default Electronic jazz fusion style sample

Hi guys,

I've been hunting for this original for a while now, even emailed the sampling artist without receiving a reply. Looking for the sample used by Boom Bip in Town Criers Walk, it starts around 1:30 in to this track.

What I hear is a drum machine loop with a synth solo on top sounding very much like Dexter Wansel or many jazz fusion keyboardists from 70's and 80's. Is it just me or this has a bit of a Japanese feel?

Any help is appreciated. Been listening through alot of Mahavishnu, Return To Forever, Gentle Giant, Steve Hackett, EL&P etc but I don't think the drum element fits here
