Default Obscure country song

Hi! I've been looking for a song for YEARS, and even took up listening to country because I was hoping to hear it again. However, i'm not sure if it falls under country, BG, or maybe Appalachian (i think that's a thing...)
Anyway, its just about the saddest song ever: its about a woman who has a baby and the baby ends up dying, possibly by drowning. It talks about her (or her ghost) wandering the hills (mountains??) and you can hear her tears (crying??) in the wind or rain. Its very "Mary of the Wild Moor" in story and feels like "Undone in Sorrow" (by Crooked Still). I'm sorry I cant be more clear- like I said: it's been years. Thank you in advance for any help! -Olivia
