Hello, I am looking for a song title & artist...

Since it is a kinda funky/soul-like song i have posted it here.

The song is sung by a male, and hearing the voice i believe it is a black male...but i could be wrong... The song's sound reminds of a 70's or 80's funkband like maybe Sly and the Family Stone or something like that.

There is a theme played in the song by trumpets or a horn section.

The lyrics that i know (except for words in ( ) ) are:
