90's Rock song with Hindi harmonics

Sorry about the following obscure description, I have been searching for this song for years....

(think) late 90s soft rock bank with a mid/late-30s gravelly voiced rocker in lead with an Indian (continent) back-up singer who has a beautiful soulful voice, her back up to the rock song was an Indian/Hindi style harmonic that mixed so beautifully with the rock, it was haunting (and has haunted me for years trying to find it). She was wearing Indian garments in the film clip.

I guessed she was a singer in her own right, joining for that song (not part of the band).

The single was on a two-disc best of rock DVD compilation, with a brown cover, that I THINK had two or three songs from each of a number of bands on it.
