Searching far and wide.... Help please

Hey Guys,
many years ago, in June/July of 2004 or 2005 or 2006 i was shopping at an aeropostale in Garden City, New York. i heard a song where the girl was singing a chorus in a Poppy-Rock-Alternative styled song that went something along the lines of,
"i, i need to show you,
the way i need to love you,"
or
"i don't need to show you,
the way i need to love you,"
or something similar to that wording. the song sounded very similar to the bridge of The Black Eyed Peas song "Don't Phunk With My Heart". The part that the song i am looking for sounds like begins at 2:47 in this video:

Mario - Let me love you ... ? It doesn't sound like Don't phunk with my heart, but the lyrics are pretty close and the year matches...
