You realize Tom Araya is a Catholic, right?

It wasn't that.

You do realize one of the common tags for Slayer's albums on music sites is "satanic" and that satanism and anti-religion are common topics in their songs, right?

I guess the moral of the story is that Slayer is awesome and you should let your kids listen to them despite your pesky religious affiliation. My mom didn't want me listening to Slayer at all during my childhood either, but my dad would always listen to me/lend me their CDs. It made me a better person.

I guess moral number two is to not take intentially shocking lyrics (for their time) seriously or else you will look like a loser with bad taste.

You are going to tell me, that listening to albums about killing, worshipping the king of evil, and going against my GOD will make me a better person? Do not tell me I need to listen to Slayer or any other sananic album! I have my standards, and apparently, you don't. I won't **** up my own mind just for credibility. I don't care what you think of me.

Messages are messages and they put thoughts in the head, no matter what the context is. I don't want satanic messages in my head. If you don't follow my religion, that's your business. But trolling or not, NEVER suggest to me to go against my beliefs. I don't go around telling you to completely change your beliefs.

And this thread is not about that. Religion should be handled elsewhere. I fell I have my answer about that metal song now, and I'd rather this thread be closed before anyone gets reported. I have my answer.

Satanism and anti-religion? That seems odd since Satanism is a religion. Anyhoo, I've listened to a lot of Slayer in my day and I can't really think of any of their songs that are actually pro-Satanism. Do you have any examples?

Take Slayer and I a little less seriously dude.

If you want the thread reopened to find your song I'll do so.
