Grey's Anatomy older song

So, my wife was making me watch this show against my will and a song came on that I meant to Shazam but didn't.

I don't remember the episode or any words to it. But its a late 60s-70s song by a guy. It was the only hit he had and the show used his full name; first, middle and last. It was a slower acoustic song, he had a very gentle voice.

I wish I had more details but I dont, sorry about that. But any ideas/links on what it might be would be real appreciated. I know this show didnt have much older music in it but I havent been able to narrow it down.

All 13 seasons are online to watch for free. I would suggest that you ask your wife to help you identify the exact episode, and then you'll have something to go by, with an audio sample.

If the show was less than a year old, then the song could be so new that it isn't even released yet, and many times, shows will have new artists do covers of older songs, just to avoid copyright problems with original songs.
