Default Musical instruments used in these music videos (Shenmue)?

Hi everyone, first time posting here. I hope somebody in these forums can help me identify the instruments used in these two videos I'm going to upload. Thank you (by the way, in the second link, the music starts at 1:20). .

In both cases it's synthesised music - no real instruments as far as I can tell. This is probably why you haven't had any answers. You could get these sounds from pretty much any software synth if you wanted to recreate it. The feel of the music comes more from the minor pentatonic scale, giving the music an Asian vibe (Chinese and Japanese musical traditions both use various pentatonic modes extensively).

Thanks a lot buddy. Now I shall start composing! I cannot thank you enough for this. Good day.

Hi guys, I'm back! Anyway I'd like to ask another important question. What type of synthesis is/are used (for the music videos above)? Thanks again .

Just to clarify, I meant synthesis like FM, additive, subtractive, modular etc. In case anyone was confused by what I meant.
