Default Search for a mysterious song (Youtube & Vacaroo links)

I posted on this forum a couple years ago searching for this song, but got no responses. Giving it another try, this time with improved audio (the audio I used last time was awful). The story behind the song, copy/pasted from the Reddit subforum that I created to help find the song (reddit.com/r/TheMysteriousSong2/):

******

After a failure to find this song over a period several years, and utilizing several subs without finding the song, I am creating this sub to try and find it. I recorded the song to a cassette from TV around the mid- to late-2000's. I wrote "Popcorn" on the cassette label, but I don't know if this is a band name, song or album title. There's a possibility that "Popcorn" has nothing to do with the song and may have had some unrelated meaning that I've forgotten. The band looked young, late-teens or early-20s. It was a music video that I found randomly while going through the music video section of Comcast's "on demand" service. The video didn't look high budget, but it didn't look like it was shot with someone's camcorder either. So, professionally shot, but limited budget. I've tried Shazamming it and Googling lyrics (I've included lyrics below), as well as searching for bands and songs called "Popcorn". Under advice from Reddit users, I contacted Music Choice, a channel that plays music videos and was available through Comcast at the time, but they said they didn't have records going back that far. (EDIT: Some have suggested that it may have been a local band that got it's video added to one of the on demand music stations' playlist, but I struck out asking about it on subreddits for the cities nearest me.)

The original recording I started my search with was rough. I'd misplaced the speakers to the cassette player I have, so I recorded the audio in the most techno-Luddite fashion that I could: by playing it really loud through a pair cheap headphones while holding my phone nearby to record it. I have since misplaced the cassette, so I won't be able to get a cleaner version. However, a wonderful YouTuber by the name of Antonio's Remastered Works (whose channel can be found here: [unable to post links, just search the channel name], created a better version than the one I shared in my past efforts.

YouTube link to the restored version on the Antonio's Remastered Works channel:

As much of the lyrics as I can reliably make out:

"I've always seen you from a better view
And I've always seen the angel inside of you
????????? sorrow
Live today and die tomorrow

[Chorus:

You can't cry forever
No
You can't cry forever]

Knocking on an angel's door
It's me, the one you adore (that's right)
It's too late, ????? princess
?????????

[Chorus]

[Guitar solo]

[Chorus]"

List of places where I've previously posted in my search:

Reddit subs -- r/RBI, r/NameThatSong, r/IdentifyThisTrack, r/tipofmytongue, r/lostmedia, r/Lostwave, r/poppunkers, r/whitewhale, r/Rockford, r/Chicago (post was auto-deleted)

Non-Reddit -- Yahoo Answers, the "name that tune" board of Music Banter, 4chan music board (post was archived, and I was told to "go to Reddit"), the music board of city-data.com, rateyourmusic.com

Songs and artists that have been ruled out:

Any song by the bands F.Y.P., Popcaan, Neuntage, or Rosengarten

"Live Today" by Dawnstar, or "Popcorn" by Hot Butter

A song from the soundtrack of either the 1991 or 2007 films titled "Popcorn".
