This album was average. I listened through it during a car ride with my friend. The title track is very catchy and I liked the second track, but after that it starts sounding Spanish (which was weird cause that song played when a mexican guy was filling up the gas tank) and then Irish. I didn't hear the entire thing, but it sounded average to me.

terrible compared to their older stuff but a huge improvment over GBMS some of the tracks just suck though

I liked it better than their earlier stuff but it wasnt excellent i found it got a little boring to me

haha sure (hes my brother) you dont even listen to the white stripes what are you talking about you heard their new album? you only listen to led zeppelin right now

It's not amazing, but it's not crap. There's one or two little gems on the album, the album titled "Icky Thump" being the best song on the record. It's fun to play as a guitarist, but the album overall isn't that good.

The biggest issue I have is that when they play songs on here live, Jack White always seems to randomly hit the keyboard than take the time or care to play something more similar to the record version... I know how you shouldn't recite the songs 100% but his random hitting sounds terrible...

I think they went through a "mexican faze" for this album... let's hope they return to their older stuff or at least develop a better style based on their older stuff for their next record.

I found icky thump to be mildly entertaining with their references towards immigration and politics...and nifty bridges..
