Is it true he got the name from Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet? (according to wikipedia)

Probably. Seems likely I mean.

Such an amazing album, the EP Nil Recurring was just as amazing.
|
Indeed. Great album. Better than Deadwing in that there were no melodramatic love songs. Did anyone see the Arriving Somewhere DVD? I was so excited when I heard about it. Then I watched it and was pretty disappointed in that Steven Wilson was waaay overboard with those damn hand gestures. I half-expected him to reminiscently bring those two fingers up to his nose for a whiff during "Arriving Somewhere but Not Here". He killed that song for me for awhile, but it's way too good to be ruined forever.

Two years ago, I was completely annoyed by this album at first since half the album was built on one track, or as it seemed. It took me a couple of tries through for me to actually appreciate this album. Once I got into the album, the tracks felt as though they grew on me.

I listened to this album today, but I'll probably have to listen again before I can form a proper opinion. It felt a little more consistant as an album than other Porcupine Tree I've heard.
|
Can't wait to hear what you think about it, Alfred. Did you watch the vid?
|
No, but the video reminded me that I needed to finally listen to that Riverside EP I downloaded.
I'll watch it though, I absolutely love Arriving Somewhere. The most amazing song I've ever heard. |
