Greenday, a while back, said they would never let a record label dictate how they were going to write music, what they have to wear and theyre image, and they did. Im my opinion once this happened they started down hill, not only because their music isnt as good as it once was but now their just like a hundered other band running around with makeup on and dressed in black and all of that ****, its weak. I still and always will enjoy Dookie, Insomniac, and even Nimrod was good, but from there on Im not a fan of their music.

Bands bashing religion is a big turn-off for me, because being religious myself, I find it difficult to listen to music that clearly insults me or what I believe in. I'm not saying that bands shouldn't have that right, of course they should, it's their music and their beliefs.

A lot of that type of stuff has been what's kept me from listening to a lot of bands.

Anyways, how am I using the term lightly? Is it a lot more serious than that?
