Yes, it's that time again. What time? Goa trance time of course. Or smilie time. Means the same thing either way.

Slide - Unobtanium

Reminds me of the sound of thoughts generated during a mystical experience, the sound of thoughts coursing their way through neurons saturated with LSD.

And if you enjoyed that, why not fill your boots with the entire album:

Slide - Unstable

The sound definitely has an air of acid to it. Trippy and synthetic.

Who remembers Zodiac Youth? They were huge in the 90s. Was a time you couldn't go to a club or a rave without hearing at least one of their tunes.

Zodiac Youth - Still On Earth

Zodiac Youth - Mr. Redeemer

This tune always makes me wanna put on big boots and go stomping around. Marching even. Stomp... stomp... stomp..

If you didn't know this was Japanese, you'd think it was Japanese. I mean it just sounds Japanese somehow. Probably because it is Japanese. But what I mean is I can't point out the Japaneseness of it. Know what I mean? No, me neither.

Let's just listen:

Prana - Kiba

Prana - Taiyo

Told you.

I don't ordinarily care much for videos but this one's a bit special. Good tune too, as one would expect from Massive Attack:

Massive Attack feat. Young Fathers - Voodoo In My Blood

Fabulous video.

A friend and I would play this on many LSD/shroom/speed/ecstacy comedowns. Always sounded incredible. One of the great electronic tunes:

Orbital - Halcyon On and On

Oh, and this, oh man... what memories:

Orbital - Lush 3-1

Cool tune.

Remember this little number? Caused a bit of a stir on release due to the supposedly pro-ecstacy lyrics:

The Shamen - Ebeneezer Goode
