AudioBully 02-21-2004 08:55 PM

ooh, someones a bit of a trance fan.......

SteelMan 02-21-2004 10:26 PM

not just trance

OOOH yeah. I like trance,... but I also like Ambient as well and there's some of that mixed in with my list. Boards Of Canada go well with a mello mood for one example.

shadowsniper 05-24-2004 10:39 PM

omg, u guys know alot of bands!!! LOL, I never heard of so many bands! I a lot of them are underground I guess. Where do u guys learn about all of this? Do u download alot and find about them through random downloads?

Eltiraaz 05-25-2004 03:05 PM

Some, some are from clubs, some are from word of mouth, some from cd's. Radio, the list goes on. I find the best way to promote underground music is to make mixed tapes and cd's and to pass them around, like leave them on the seats of streetcars and stuff like that. its just a really cool way to promote the music

burger2006 05-26-2004 07:24 AM

I'd recommend some more obscure people like The Egg or Boomclick. I've found a good way to find new artists it to do a search on somewhere like http://www.blinkx.com by putting in the name of someone you already like and adding something like electronica to the search - works a treat!

Eltiraaz 05-27-2004 02:24 PM

That sounds promising.

ally 05-27-2004 04:41 PM

yea ive used that site as well, its pretty good, its not working atm though (at least when i posted this) i hear about most underground bands through friends and the musicaly knowledgeable i try to hang out with a wide varity of people, you hear about different bands and opinions then with just the same people.

Almost any kinda techno with awesome beats is kewl with me and i really like the ones with words b/c the voices jus sound amazing :dj:

Jonah 12-19-2004 10:02 AM

I'm not sure exactly what this thread is about, but this isn't exactly techno. It does feature the sythesizer...you'll like it though. I reallly like "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode... however, its not just the ordinary song. It's their remix version, part of "Remixes 04 cd" It's lovely! If you haven't heard it....get it!

Morientes 12-28-2004 12:45 PM

Mylo is well worth checking out. A bit like Royksopp.

Waynegrow 12-31-2004 02:06 PM

I like Skinny Puppy warning can be scary.

xero 01-01-2005 02:59 PM

omg... there is an artist called Drunkenmunky

WOW!

shinobi_gamer 01-25-2005 09:11 AM

Well this is going to be from left field a bit, but included with the A Perfect Circle dvd aMOTION is a cd of remixes of some of their songs. They are suprisingly fun and well done. Also there is the remix of the Cranberries - Zombie. There is always the VA (various artist) way of finding out new artists...You know the compilation fast track to what everyone else has heard of. I always just pick up the most haggard looking, two disk compilation and hope that at least a couple o songs groove. also learn to step out of your musical "comfort zone." you might actually like something new!

Tommyrocker 01-30-2005 11:21 AM

Better

N-trance or ultrabeat are more rave-classics from yesteryear. utter brilliance if you want everyone to get up on that dancefloor. NOW IM FEELIN FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNE

Hello there...I'm in London England.

The greatest thing I've heard is the new album 'WHEN HOT DOGS FLY' It's by the band (All Loop Guru members) SLIPPER in collaboration with singer/songwriter ANDREA BLACK. I believe that Navarre Distribute but if you go to CD Baby...you can have a listen...they've been gigging around London and did Glastonbury last year. Andrea Black's vocals and lyrics are amazing...she sounds like Bjork meets Kate Bush meets Doris Day...Wow.
Where abouts are you in the World?

Shellion 04-26-2005 02:35 PM

"Retro-Aquatic" @rendez.net

Check out rendez.net He's created some amazing electro tunes using Fruity Loops. I particularly like "Space Race" and the latest- "Retro Aquatic", which are just two of many.

They're also presented in a media player, so you dont have to download the tunes before you've even listened to them!

He really knows his stuff, so any questions on the software used, and any others, will be answered to the best of his knowledge in the forum!

toonpunk 05-10-2005 04:07 AM

a lot of this stuff is available at www.karmadownload.com if you have trouble finding it

Crudblud89 05-10-2005 09:03 AM

""pwnage" comes from leetspeak type slang"
Actually pwnage was invented by mistake, comes from the word ownage, which means 'I owned you at counter strike' or something to that effect. Somebody type pwnage instead of ownage at a big LAN festival, through this pwnage replaced ownage. Yes it is a bit nerdy of me to know all of this, but who cares? we're all the same really.

oreilly 06-01-2005 02:31 PM
