I enjoyed the new album but miss the guitar driven chord changes with some time changes added for depth and breathe. Miss the acoustic Yorke. Not saying the direction that has led some fans, myself included, on a technically cool musical journey is bad. Can't wait to see them and hear this album live. May 29th 'day to remember' looms largely. Two fav songs are 'Little to Little' (love the rhythm) and 'Give up the Ghost' (uniquely great)!

Have you heard the acoustic version of 'Morning Mr. Magpie'? It's really good, I personally like it better than the original.

Codex is one of their best songs for me. Also one of my favorite albums because of the cover art.

This album came out last year but this thread got revived so I might as well post what I thought of it, haha.

I loved it, particularly the second half of the album. Highlights for me would be:

Bloom - I like how the staggering beat contrasts with the calm flow of the other parts of the song. As the opening track on the album this one convinced me I'd be listening to something really good.
Lotus Flower - Amazing song. The beat is catchy, the vocals smooth, and the lyrics clever. What's not to like?
Codex - This one still gives me chills.
Give Up the Ghost - Beautifully haunting song. I think this is the best track on the album. The backing vocals especially make the song.
Separator - This one's my personal favorite. The lyrics "It's like I've fallen out of bed from a long and vivid dream" pretty much sum up how this song sounds to me and what listening to it feels like. The "If you think this is over.." line threw me off a bit at first because I thought it might be referring to more new music... Also, I especially love the 'wake me up's at the end. This song is perfect.

I guess my only criticism of this album is the length. I'm not a fan of albums that drag on and on, but I feel like one or two more tracks would've been nice on this one, especially since there wasn't a follow-up like I was hoping for. But then again, the tracks on this album are solid, so if any added ones would have been filler, I'd rather just leave it as is and like what's on it. It's been a while since I listened to some of my other Radiohead albums so I can't really rank it with the others at the moment. I remember liking this one better than Hail to the Theif, Amnesia, and (obviously) Pablo Honey...

edit; I voted "Good" in the poll.

Codex gives me a really vivid feeling of walking through a forest or brush (even a light one) with the sun stabbing through the limbs as i'm heading to the lake he mentions. I'm not a very outdoorsy person so it's pretty neat for me.

I hear ya man. I can't help but go on a walk when this song comes on. I'll find myself across town by the end of this album.
