I like them okay, couldn't handle a steady diet of them.
Will probably acquire this.

For the unitiated, check out "The Wall" and "Operation" which are my two favorites tracks off the album. I'd link, but again, I can't haha. They are incredibly 90's sounding, which is why I love it. They touch on the likes of Dino Jr., Pavement, etc. and their slower songs sound very Elliott Smith influenced. Pretty cool imo.

I've heard them both, they're pretty good but I find the hooks a tad irritating.

Excellent album! One of the best debuts i've heard in recent years. While it's not one of the most original albums ever everything on it is executed so well, the songwriting is top-notch and it's such an enjoyable album to listen to. There are some obvious influences such as Dinosaur Jr, Yo La Tengo and Teenage Fanclub but rather than sound like an ironic retro 90's throwback the music kind of sounds timeless. The standout track for me (and this is a though choice as they're all fantastic) are 'Get Away', 'Operation' and 'Sunday'.

Yeh, you pretty much summed up my feelings on it exactly. I've been telling my friends that it's my favorite debut album in recent memory. I'm seeing them open up for tame impala in a few months. I'm pretty excited.

Completely adore this album, I saw them by chance at Leeds festival last year and they were absolutely fantastic so I'm glad they got this out, I LOVE it.

Not to me. Can't say I'm a big fan of 90s style pop though. Get Away, Shook Down and Suicide Policeman sound like the highlights to me.
