I finally had time to finish this album for the second time. I have to say that while at the moment it does not measure up to Urn or Lifted yet I think it might after a few more listens, it feels like a grower. After just two plays none of the songs really stand out as a favorite, the ones I like the most at the moment are: ''Shell Games'', ''Jejune Stars'' and ''One for you, One for me''. I'm looking forward to listening more to this.

I agree. With this being Conor's final album under Bright Eyes I really like the feel throughout the album that is more positive than usual. Also the album is very excellent as a whole, which some of his previous I felt only had certain strong points in the album.

I think my favorite track so far is "Ladder Song".

I haven't gotten this yet, but I'm not really expecting much.
What I've heard of it so far has been negative, but hopefully I will see it differently.

To me it lacks that spark. They're all pleasant enough songs, but as a whole it doesnt engage my interest enough. Shame because I thought Cassadaga was great after the disappointment of DAIADU, I guess if this actually is his last album I'll remember him for a quadruplet of fucking brilliant albums in the early-mid 00's followed by an inconsistant tail off into new ventures.
