Absolutely love this album, 5/5. It certainly rivals For Emma.

I have been hearing a lot about Bon Iver. Would someone like to recommend me an album?

I would personally listen to For Emma, Forever Ago before listening to Bon Iver. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love both albums. But I think what made the subsequent album so good for me was seeing how he'd grown and changed as an artist from his earlier work (as cliche as that sounds).

Having listened to both albums for quite a while now, the self titled one definitely takes the cake for me.

At the moment I'm loving this track; love the simplicity of the piano.

I don't think it's as good as For Emma, Forever Ago, but it's still pretty damn great. I wonder what Bon Iver's third album will sound like.

Wasn't the biggest fan when a friend showed me the album, I was like "oh this is nice." But the live experience sold me on them, they just have so many talented musicians creating such a vivid soundscape that I have to say it was in my top 10 of concerts I've been to.

1/5

I can't see any reason to listen to this over say already established legendary acts such as Bob Dylan.
