I'll be damned if these aren't some of the most annoying pop singles ever released.

^ Everything by this creature is annoying.

I legitimately find the song "Judas" to be terrifying.

"Born This Way" means well, and I do appreciate that a lot of the LGBT youth took it as a sort of anthem. I have talked to teens who have worked in theatre with me who were very empowered by the song.

"You and I" doesn't bother me at all, and "Edge of Glory" was one of the tracks I really got down to at my sister's wedding.

Not my favorite music by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not seriously bad.

The more I've listened to this album (going on 100 times at least) the more it's grown on me. When I first heard it I thought no way is this the pop album of the decade - but to be honest, it blows a lot of pop artists into the weeds. It has a purpose, it's empowering and reaches fans on a personal level. It was meant to be the ultimate mainstream pop record.

I can't wait for her new material! I know a lot of people say they don't like her, but I think it's just one of those things people to say to try look like they have better taste in music when it doesn't indicate that at all.

I think she's horrible. As a gay man, I find her music to be highly offensive, and I really have no respect for her.

Musically, Born This Way is a hodge podge of faux-electro synth samples combined with nonsensical lyrics that add up to nothing but a bad student art project. GaGa has a lot of talent when she isn't marinating herself in her persona. It's really off putting.

When she goes back to making songs like Paparazzi and Starstruck, which were great pop songs without a lot of pretense, I'll start paying attention to her again. Until ten, she's just kind of... I dunno. Bad.

Please note, I'm not saying this because I'm a Madonna fan. I was on the Madonna forums when GaGa first dropped (pre-The Fame), and I thought she was a talented chick who had more to offer us than some of her competitors. I just don't like who she has become.

My only comment is she should have put the version the lil asian girl did of Born This Way on the album. Lady Gaga is cool and all but the lil asian girl kills her version

My favorite song on the album is Heavy Metal Lover. Addictive!

I love that track too! My favourite track on that album is Hair.

When you don't give me an option for all that space between okay and amazing, I have to round to OK. While it was certainly one of the best Pop albums (in both the popular sense and the more fundamental) of its year, it didn't necessarily push boundaries in its music and was a little long. Had it gone from 18 tracks to 11-14, I would probably say amazing, in its circumstances.

misspoptart 01-10-2013 01:13 AM

I didn't really like the 80s feel of some of the songs on the album, "Hair" included. I wish she'd go back where she came from...the future!!

I love all of these songs!

I hate music snobbery. She does have some good POP songs, and she's outrageous to boot. She may yet come up with an album I'd have in my collection. This though.....isn't it x

thedon89 03-20-2013 10:10 PM

I find the majority of Lady Gagas music to be bad but it has to be said, I'm not afraid to bust out a few moves on the dance floor when I am out. It's not something I would buy or listen to regularly BUT if it comes on the radio I wouldn't turn it off (unless it was Judas or Bad Romance).

D x
