On my first listen and this release is kicking ass so far. Don't expect any of the powerviolence sounds of their first two albums and you're in for a treat. Lots of first-wave hardcore sounds here, and some noticeable post-punk influence.

Expecting indie kids to jump on this album any time now; now that they're on the Pitchfork radar, having signed to Matador.

Dammit. I was hoping this was the noise-pop Ceremony.

This album is a very strong great. "Nosebleed" and "Community Service" could be a bit better, but they're decent enough songs. Ceremony rival only Fucked Up as far as guitar tone goes in modern punk, and I hope they get credit for that on this album.

I'd recommend this album to anyone who's a fan of punk; past or present. It may surprise you.
