I started a thread on this in the Album Review area.

Yeah, this has to be the album of the year for me right now. It wasn't even a grower for me really; pretty instant connection to it.

Best tracks are Mind Mischief, Nothing...Control, Elephant.

I must be missing something.

I guess so. Maybe you're not that into music that grabs one from the very beginning, I dunno. =3

It's good like I said, I just can't see where people are coming from giving it perfect scores and AOTY shouts.

I am giving it album of the year because I haven't heard something like this well...Ever.

It sounds like many psychedelic records man. It sounds like their previous album too.

If they had intended for this album to sound like something from the 60's and 70's then they failed horribly. Kevin came up with something far more fascinating in my opinion. By using the technology available to him in the contemporary world, Kevin has tapped into the progressive and experimental spirit of psychedelic rock, and not just the sound.

I'm with goofle, this is a solid album. It's just nothing that special. I probably have 10 or so albums I like more than this from 2012.

No bullshit, it's really not very good compared to any 60s/70s stuff or any current music. Boring pretty quickly but not bad. I give it a three. Perfectly average.
