That makes no sense to me. People really expect the little guy to pioneer a new sound every time? That's idiotic. This album and The Eraser are probably my favorite things that Yorke has ever thrown himself into.

i really don't understand how it's "idiotic" to expect him to break ground. it's what he does.

How many times do you expect him to do it?
I think his successful 20+ year career has earned him the right to do whatever he feels like musically. If you expect him to create a whole new sound for you, at least give him a few years in between your whines. And don't be disappointed when you realize that he's pursuing his own musical interests, not yours.

wtf. i'm not whining dude. just expressing myself. feel free to calm down.

it's not like i'm harping on thom yorke. i'm just saying that once one gets used to someone with such a prolific penchant for varied productions, he might assume he wants to do that in general. no need to treat it like a crime.

yeah.
Ignore him, he's the biggest troll on MB. Don't let him drive you away. Expecting Yorke to do something new - because he created a new ****ing band - is reasonable. Only trolls pretend otherwise.

I voted "below average", so far my least favourite album of 2013 (though I have only heard a few albums). I can enjoy a song or two, but it all blurs together if I listen to the whole thing. Well, I still like it more than King of Limbs, at least, probably because of Judge Jury and Executioner.

I expected it to be Radiohead. I'm glad it is.

It was much better than listening to Thom Yorke just sit at a computer making beats (which is also awesome to listen to). The whole collective camp added something that the eraser was missing.
