I gave this album a 2. The production is boring, unoriginal, and far too dancey. The mix is off. It all sounds rushed. The rapping is way too arrogant, even by Kanye's standards. There's an enjoyable melody in about 2 of the songs. This is not what I expected from Kanye. It's garbage if you ask me.

Early review is a 3 -- a few high points but so far it's not engaigng me too much. But I have to let it sink in a bit.

When it's released I'll probably grab the lossy download at least, I think it's at least worth that. Might grab the CD copy if it's on sale but let's see what happens on Tuesday.

I don't understand some of those criticisms as it doesn't remotely seems to be relevant to the album I have listened to. Dancey?

Yeah there's no way its "dancey". But I'm going to give it quite a few listens before I say any more. Honestly I'm already having Blood On The Leaves in my head.

Calling this album "dancey" is like calling Coldplay a heavy metal band.

There is like no boom bap. Every song has a kick on all four beats (with the exception of Blood on the Leaves). Maybe you don't see it as dancey, but that is one of the major characteristics of a dance song so that's how I view it.

I don't know. I am just not feeling this album whatsoever. It's really cool that you guys like it cause now you have a sweet new kanye record, but I'm super disappointed.
