NME deserve everything they get.
They chose to not listen to what he had to say and chose instead to play the old 'Morrissey Racist' card, that holds no real currency when put under scrutiny.
I have to say it's a national shame, when it takes a man who no longer lives in England, to have the balls to say what every Englishman, in these days of politically correct insanity, only dare think about the state of his own nation.

It's not the first time the NME have pulled out that kinda crap about Morrissey either.

I remember in the early 90s they were trying to tie him to the national front because he bought a union jack out during National Front Disco.

You know Morrissey is being given a lot of crap about his comment on how Radiohead could get away with murder but if he rescued a family from a burning house there'd still be speculation on his motives. I've seen him get attacked for that comment on various sites I think it just goes to prove his point.
