I loved Rated R. It had that dark pop sound I like.

Hi guys! Actually, I'm here for the metal and classical part of the forum but there is something I wanted to ask you.
My best friend is not a metalhead and as far as I know she likes Rihanna a lot. She has a birthday in August and I thought of giving her a Rihanna CD as a present but, as you might guess, I have absolutely no idea which one should I take and there is noone else I can ask because all my other friends are also metalheads and have no idea who Rihanna is. That's why I'm asking for your help.
Which Rihanna album do you think is the best? Alice (my friend) has no CDs, she's got only mp3s but I'm sure she'll love my present and appreciate my idea.
I've already checked with Amazon, because I have paysafecard vouchers which I'm going to use for this buying but I still have no clue. I've also seen some Blu-ray things.. Do you think it's worth buying?
I also hope this is the right topic to ask and I didn't want to offend anyone, if someone might think that I did.

I didn't really like Rated R.....

...I don't know, I feel like she's drifting TOO much from the Rihanna I've liked all these years. And, yes, I've listened to her since Pon De Replay first came out. I think she needs to maybe take 2 steps back and she'll be good.

Her newest single "Only Girl in the World" is hot. I'm definitely feeling it so far, and she looks gorg on the single cover. First time I've seen her looking pretty with the stupid red hair she seems stuck on.

What kind of tape is that she's wearing, anyway? It's a little too wide to be electrical tape, and duct tape would hurt...

She has a pretty impressive voice, talented indeed.
I didn't use to like her first songs too much, they were girly, a little bit too girly for her own good.I mean I just felt like she only wanted to send the message of a cute teenager girl with her own problems etc. But starting with 'Umbrella' I can say I like her a lot.
I also have several exceptions like 'Rude boy' which I find too rude. Her last one with Eminem is a real achievement in my opinion.
